Commissioned to redesign a set for touring. The original mirrored MDF screens were redesigned as a lightweight, collapsible system that can be transported and assembled by a small team.

The final design consists of ten folding mirrored screens made from reflective fabric and aluminium frames, allowing the full surface area of mirror to be preserved while packing down into three suitcases. Backed with deep red fabric, the set echoes motifs from the costume design and responds sensitively to the performance’s themes of transformation and multiplicity.

The Korça Icon Museum began as a raw concrete frame of columns and floor slabs, left unfinished after the economic collapse of 2008. Bolles + Wilson were commissioned by the municipality of Korça to design the interior exhibition for 300 Orthodox icons, forming part of the National Museum of Medieval Art.

The building spans three levels: a basement archive, public exhibition spaces on the entrance level and first floor, and administrative offices above. The design proposes a defined circulation route for visitors, with a clear separation between public and back-of-house areas.

Working under Peter Wilson, Tilda developed the 3D model, eventually resolving the technical drawings for construction.

Working from Jack’s sketches, Tilda developed the technical and aesthetic side of the project, from early physical models to a detailed, buildable proposal. Structural configurations were tested and refined in 3D, evolving the initial floor-to-ceiling scaffold into a self-supporting system.

Designed for a touring exhibition, the structure had to be dismantled and reassembled efficiently for transport between venues.

Tilda’s role spanned 3D modelling, design development, technical resolution and fabrication strategy. Acting as the bridge between Jack, the British Art Show team and the fabricator, she coordinated the project through to manufacture and produced the technical drawing package for fabrication and installation.

Jack O’Brien’s staircase from Camden Art Centre is re-presented in Warsaw as part of Sculpture Beyond the Solid at the Museum of Modern Art. Tilda adapted and coordinated the technical drawings for the work’s reinstallation, and managed its rebuild for the new venue.

Alistair Wilkinson, Hot Rain in Hackney

Hot Rain is a new play by Alistair Wilkinson, set in Hackney. Tilda worked with Alistair during the early research and development of the piece at the Old Vic Theatre, developing a set proposal for an in-the-round production.

Responding to the play’s exploration of intimacy, chemsex and shifting states of perception, she explored haze, soft focus, projection, shadow and translucent screens as ways of obscuring and revealing the performers and their relationships.

Beginning with the script, Tilda storyboarded the performance to identify its key spatial and physical elements. The bed emerged as the central anchor, surrounded by a constellation of objects that orbit the protagonists and shift through the performance.

The resulting set concepts formed part of the R&D phase, establishing an early visual and spatial language to support the play’s further development and funding.

Twelfth Night is a stage production for the National Theatre of Cyprus (THOC) in Nicosia. Beginning from an initial collage concept by set designer Petros Kourtellaris, Tilda developed the scenography into a fully resolved, buildable stage environment.

She built the 3D model that resolved scale, proportion and spatial relationships, and produced the full set of construction drawings, ensuring the set could be safely constructed, assembled and operated within the constraints of the theatre.

Tilda was responsible for the design development and technical resolution of the set, from concept through to handover for production.
